By means of Resolution No. 12169 of 2020, the Superintendent of Industry and Commerce clarified that the services related to industrial property matters are enabled and the procedures related thereto resume their normal course, the before said, considering that the virtual tools allow the implementation of any actions to be carried out through the offices’ online system.
However, deadlines regarding renewals of registrations and payment of annuities for the maintenance of patents will remain suspended, until the state of emergency is in force.
In any case, the offices´ online system will continue operational for filing any request during the term of suspension. Thus, we suggest our clients to continue submitting their requests for renewals and payment of annuities through the online system, as we anticipate a congestion in the days following the end of the suspension decision.
